International Conference On Malaysia

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh... “Malaysia in Global Perspective" That was the theme or so called the title of the international conference held on 27th-28th September 2009, at Faculty of Economics & Political Science, Cairo University. The huge program organized by Department of Malaysian Studies, Cairo University served the following objectives: -To share Malaysia experience in managing the economy, politic, education, administration, technology and ICT and multicultural society. -To share Malaysian experiences in the global perspective, especially in the Middle East. -To gain inputs from participants in the conference in order to bring Malaysia into global arena. -To establish an academic networking in research at international level. -To provide forum for researchers of various fields and expertise to share their research findings. -To identify challenges and prospects in research on Malaysia. The subthemes of this conference were: -Learning and Education: The Strength of Malaysia -Managing Economy: Malaysian experience -Politics, Administration and Foreign Policy: Malaysian style -Agriculture, Industry, Technology and ICT: Malaysian focus -Multicultural Society and Religious Tolerance: Malaysian features The conference held for two days were attended by international presenters from Germany, Malaysia and Egypt, also by Egyptian professors, academicians, Egyptian specialists, Malaysian students and Negeri Sembilan students, men and women. Negeri Sembilan officer, Tuan Haji Mohd. Zin bin Abu also attended the conference. Each and every presentation was carried out using English, the international language as the medium. Overall, the conference consisted of 5 sessions and ended with the resolution and the closing ceremony. Hopefully, everyone gained benefits from the program.
